Full-bodied for rose but medium in the grand wine scheme of things. Delightfully flavourful with aromas of field raspberries and some nutmeg. The most un-boring rose I’ve tasted. I’m getting a case.

Seriously good value! Dominated by Gamay and highlighted with Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, this tasty pink is pale salmony-pink in colour with aromas of pink grapefruit, wild summer berries, coriander seed, forest floor and white pepper. It’s wonderfully juicy in the mouth, has a kiss of sweetness and boasts flavours of burnt orange zest, apple peel and more coriander. Good structureperfect for sipping or to pair with salmon, white meats, summer salads, cheese and appetizer plates. Pairs great with Gone Crackers Blue Cheese & Cracked Pepper.

The red grapes were crushed, with the skins left in contact with the juice overnight to extract colour and flavour. Then the juice was racked and fermented cool, like a white wine. The wine begins with aromas of strawberry and cranberry. Am Gaumen, it has flavours of strawberry, rhubarb and pink grapefruit, with a tangy, refreshing finish.

No doubt, there’ll be a lot of rosés out of the Okanagan for 2011, says Stanley. Maybe. But, guaranteed, this Gamay with a splash of Pinot Gris will be one of the best. Pretty salmon in the glass it has some candied notes on the nose that don’t come through on the overall dry palate. Definite rhubarb and strawberry notes with an appealing savoury, dried herb note and a touch of spice to close. And such a deal at BCLS.

Silky and round, it shows notes of strawberry, herbs, mineral and subtle jalapeno pepper. Lovely on its own. “

This light, crisp rosé is a blend of 85% gamay noir, 10% pinot noir and 5% pinot gris. It brings cranberry, Gewürz, raspberry and tart strawberry on the nose, with fantastic freshness. It is light-bodied, crisp and has modest acidity. The cranberry flavours are front and centre, with secondary raspberry and light spice notes. There’s not much residual sugar to be foundrather, it is a pleasant, dry rosé that’s both racy and refined.”

86 Punkte – Anthony Gismondi (April 2012)
Fresh tight mineral, sweaty grapefruit, herbal nose. The entry is tight and fresh with a strong leafy citrus entry with bits of rhubarb, dried herbs and tangerine skin in the aftertaste. As is the norm at QG, the rosé is super crisp a touch green and dry waiting for summer foods to set it free. Crab would be ideal but so would chicken tuna and assorted summer salads.
