Quails’ Gate Wins Two Chairman’s Trophies at Ultimate Wine Challenge

Quails’ Gate Winery is pleased to announce that its 2010 Stewart Family Reserve Chardonnay and 2010 Chenin Blanc have been awarded Chairman’s Trophy at the Ultimate Wine Challenge in New York City. The competition awarded 27 Chairman’s Trophies, representing the best of the best.

All wines are evaluated and scored by panels of judges who used a unique variation of the 100-point scale. Products that scored 90 points or higher were then evaluated blind once again, in newly-created groupings by a different panel of judges. Top scoring products were then reviewed again to determine a select group of finalists with the category’s highest-scorer being awarded a Chairman’s Trophy accolade.

Chairman’s Trophy (94 points) – 2010 Stewart Family Reserve Chardonnay
Chairman’s Trophy (92 points) – 2010 Chenin Blanc
