Many thanks to Matt Steves who nominated Quails’ Gate TBA Optima as Canada’s best cheese pairing wine!

Natalie MacLean wrote to us letting us know that the competition was tough…

“There were hundreds of people voting right up until midnight in the wine pairing competition.  The results were based on the final votes, which came in strong and steadily until the last minute. Your wine did very well and had tremendous support among the 40 wines originally nominated in the cheese pairing category. Matt Steves was a great champion for you.”

Evaluated a total of 14,362 international wines.
Gold Medal – 2010 Stewart Family Reserve Chardonnay – only 1.59% earned Gold.

Our king and queen shine again! We are pleased to announce that the 2010 Stewart Family Reserve Chardonnay received a Best of Class and the 2009 Stewart Family Reserve Pinot Noir received a Gold medal at Pacific Rim Wine Competition.

Over 1200 wines from 11 countries were entered.

Cost: $140 per person (all inclusive)

This special event will truly make you feel like a part of the Quails’ Gate family. The evening starts with meeting our team in the vineyard for a glass of wine and canapés to whet your appetite. Your host for the evening will then take you on a tour of the property to discuss the latest news from the winery and vintage.  A delectable coursed menu will then be served between the rows of grapes as we sample the summer bounty shared by our local providers and paired with a special selection of Quails’ Gate wines. Meet other Quails’ Gate enthusiasts and join in the spirit of conviviality as you enjoy our signature view of the sun setting over the serene Okanagan lake.
