2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

85 points – Anthony Gismondi (February 2012)
“Smoky, tobacco leaf, leesy, light mercaptan, black olive, light asparagus, peppery, leather aromas. Dry, fresh, light palate with smoky, leafy, herbal, weedy, cassis, tobacco leaf, dill, vanilla, coffee flavours. A leaf, oaky style for current consumption.”

Here’s a quality red from a consistent producer in the Okanagan Valley. This has loads of plum and dried fruit on the nose, with deep layers of dark fruit, cedar and a distinctive herbal note on the palate. It spent 18 months in oak, adding great structure to this wine. Juicy and acidic on the finish, this might be slightly overpriced, but still a worthy offering.”
