Irrigation Technician

Quails’ Gate Winery is nestled in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in the southern interior of British Columbia. Our 125-acre estate winery, located on the shores of Lake Okanagan, is owned and operated by the Stewart Family, pioneering horticulturists since the turn of the 20th century.

Due to our success and growth we are seeking an Irrigation Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible to maintain and operate the vineyard irrigation equipment.

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate loves to work outdoors (rain or shine), communicates well and comes to us with hands on irrigation experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the Irrigation Supervisor to learn how to fully manage our complex irrigation system.

Previous experience working with complex irrigation systems would be a significant asset. In addition to managing the irrigation, the successful candidate will help out on other vineyard tasks as needed throughout the season.

Vineyard Field Crew Leadhand

Quails’ Gate Winery is nestled in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in the southern interior of British Columbia. Our 125 acre estate winery, located on the shores of Lake Okanagan, is owned and operated by the Stewart Family, pioneering horticulturists since the turn of the 20th century.

Due to our success and growth we are seeking a Field Crew Leadhand. The successful candidate will be responsible to direct the vineyard crew to complete assigned tasks meeting both time and quality guidelines.

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate loves to work outdoors (rain or shine), communicates well and comes to us with hands on vineyard (or agricultural) experience. The ideal person will lead by example and work hard to ensure each shift runs smoothly and efficiently. You understand the importance of teamwork and leadership.

Previous experience working in a vineyard and the ability to use the associated hand tools is an important pre-requisite along with a basic understanding of the life cycle of grapevines. We are looking for a natural communicator comfortable leading a small team. Basic Spanish would be an asset.

Our successful candidate will be well organized, detail focused and possess the ability to work within all business areas of the winery. In addition, they will be able to demonstrate solid skills in both leadership development and employee development.  Finally, the successful candidate will be able to contribute to the creation and implementation of HR policy and practices for several business units.

They will have a degree or certification in human resources, organizational development or similar, a minimum of 7+ years’ experience, and a CPHR designation.  Experience within a food and beverage or retail setting is an asset.

The Allocations and Compliance Manager will work closely with the Estate President to achieve annual sales goals and support the growth of the company in accordance with our core values.

 

Our successful candidate will be well organized, detailed focused and able to multi-task with a ‘can do’ attitude.   In addition, they will be able to demonstrate solid communication skills, both written and verbal.  We are looking for an individual with post-secondary education in office administration, business administration or commerce and have 2+ years’ experience in a winery, or similar complimentary industry.

Wine Shop Concierge

In addition you will assist with managing the parking lot, customer flow and complete general store cleaning duties.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+yrs of customer services experience – preferably in a winery, hotel or luxury retail environment,
